Our HIstory

Founded on the 23rd of September 2001, in Sheffield, United Kingdom by a group of dedicated volunteers, the European Manipuri Association (EMA) was established to unite the Manipuri diaspora across Europe. Today, with nearly 200 members spanning the continent, EMA is a not-for-profit charitable organisation committed to nurturing the cultural and emotional identity of Manipuris living in Europe. Our mission is to promote the rich heritage and diversity of Manipur, instilling a sense of pride in our next generation of Manipuris residing in Europe and around the world.
